Yeah I was thinking about this topic too.

So, I am POC, but also considered part time to cover ARFF for the airport.

Our dist is its own taxing body.  The board puts an amount in a line item every year for POC (so it changes every year).  Then they use a point system to figure out how people get paid.

Basically my point is, there is no set amount, it's not like $5.00 a call or hour or anything like that.

MY 2005 HARLEY

« Reply #7 on: February 17, 2009, 08:55:07 PM »

I am a retired Union Fire Fighter/Paramedic from Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue, Local 3140, in Tarpon Springs, FL. Part of Pinellas County Fire Rescue, best in the nation. Now living in East Tennessee. I love the mountains and riding my Harley. I am also a charter member of the IAFF Motorcycle Group. Trying to start a department in my area since I am over 10 miles from the nearest VFD. Have a truck and a lot of equipment, but the county wouldn't give up the area so my house will burn down.
